The Journey to Ball Creek Campsite πŸ•

Beep beep beep ⏰️, it’s 5.30am, we get up half asleep 😴, we need to get ready pack all the stuff and get from the Perth Hills Discovery Center Campsite πŸ• to the Ball Creek Campsite πŸ•. We needed to move campsites as the Perth Hills Discovery Center Campsite is only open at the weekend as it is reserved for schools during the week.

So why wake up at 5.30am πŸ€”, well we had a load of shopping and all of our gear, which was at least around 40kg πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ and the only way to get between the campsites was a walking trail. The host at the Campground had kindly offered to lend us a luggage trolly, but it had to be back at the campsite before 7.30 am.

So we packed up and got ready for 6.30am and hit the trail, which was all good fun πŸ˜°πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ.

The trail starts off fairly flat but soon becomes rocky in sections , hilly in others, with a few narrow sections between trees, which made for a challenging journey. Some of the sections meant emptying the trailer carrying it across. One section in particular was quite steep , dragging the trolley up the hill was challenging. Taking it down steep descent on the other side was equally challenging, as it tried to run away from us.

After getting two-thirds of the way along the trail, it was getting close to the time we’d promised to return the trolley βŒ›οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. So we dumped the bags πŸŽ’ on the side of the track, and I went back to return the trolley. After a bit of back and forth, we carried the bags in a couple of stages to the destination.
